UNDERGRAD PROGRAMS
The marine science major takes full advantage of the University's coastal location and year round access to the unique sub-tropical
ecosystems of South Florida--the Everglades, coral reefs, mangrove and sea grass communities. Undergraduate courses are offered
jointly by faculties of the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences and the College of Arts and Sciences. Students can
participate in research projects in over 150 laboratories and may earn academic credit for advanced study. A shuttle service
between the Coral Gables campus and the marine campus of Virginia Key allows easy access to seminars and specialized library
facilities. The neuroscience major builds on the strength of our Ph.D. program in neuroscience--we have a large and strong group of faculty who
do research in neuroscience at the University, and the laboratories of these scientists will offer special opportunities for
research experiences for qualified students.
The honors program gives you an opportunity to do original research in an area of your choice, working closely with a faculty
member. You will also have an opportunity to discuss your research and that of other students by participating in honors
seminars.
If you are a pre-health student, register with the University of Miami's
