ADVISING

Undergraduate Biology Advising for Spring 2008:
October 15 - 19, 2007
Registration begins on November 5

First Year Biology Majors -

You must meet with your BIOLOGY PEER ADVISOR during the week of October 15, 2007 to pre-plan your schedule before your official advising appointment.

Don't wait 'til the last minute to make your advising appointment.
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on anyone else's part.

HOW DO I REGISTER ON MyUM ?

If you have completed 30-74 credits and have a 2.5 or higher GPA, you may obtain a registration access code to register via the MyUM SYSTEM.

To receive an access code, you must first see an academic advisor to obtain a signed course request form. Present the signed form to Ms. Verdelle Bell (Ashe 200), who will give you an access code.

First year students are not permitted to
“self” register on MyUM.

MAKE AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT:

Be sure to bring to your appointment your A.C.E
(Academic Curriculum Evaluation form, available on MyUM).

If you are a declared major with 75 credits or more and a 2.5 or higher GPA,
you may register yourself via MyUM, without a registration code.

Even if you qualify to register yourself, we still encourage our Biology Majors to meet with an advisor who will make sure they're on the right track. Last minute, pre-graduation surprises are seldom good ones.
