IMPORTANT ADVISING DATES FOR
SPRING 2010

First Year Students meet with Peer Advisors:
    October 26 - 30, 2009
    First Year Biology Majors - You must meet with your PEER ADVISOR to pre-plan your schedule before your official advising appointment.

Undergraduate Biology Advising for Spring 2010:

  • Undergraduate Biology Advising for Spring 2010 will begin on Monday, October 26 and end on Friday, November 20, 2009.

Registration for Spring 2010:

  • Students may view their Registration appointment on MyUM on Monday, October 26, 2009.
  • Please remember that your Registration appointment is NOT your Advising appointment and to plan accordingly. Do not wait until the last minute to meet with an advisor. Appointments have been locked in.
  • Registration begins on Monday November 9, 2009.

HOW DO I REGISTER ONLINE?

You may register yourself via the MyUM SYSTEM if you meet all the criteria in one of the two different sets shown below.

    IF...

  • You have completed 30-74 credits AND
  • You have at least a 2.5 GPA AND
  • You have a course request form signed by your academic advisor
  • ...you may obtain a registration access code from Ms. Verdelle Bell in Ashe 200 and use it to register online via MyUM.

    OR IF...

  • You are a declared major with at least 75 credits AND
  • You have at least a 2.5 GPA
  • ...you may register online without an access code.

We still encourage our Biology Majors to meet with an advisor who will make sure they're on the right track. Last minute, pre-graduation surprises are not always good.

MAKE AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT

Be sure to bring your A.C.E.
(Academic Curriculum Evaluation form, available on MyUM)
with you to your appointment!

  • If your last name begins with A - F, your advisor is
    Ms. Gina Astorini

  • If your last name begins with G - L, your advisor is
    Dr. Dana Krempels

  • If your last name begins with M - R, your advisor is
    Dr. Michael Robinson

  • If your last name begins with S - Z, your advisor is
    Dr. Daniel Wang

    Don't wait until the last minute to make your advising appointment. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on anyone else's part.
