BIL 149 - FIELD TRIP TO KEY BISCAYNE

This year's field trip will be to two locations on Virginia Key and Key Biscayne where we will look at areas overrun by exotic, invasive species, and then tour an area that's been the focus of a major native flora restoration effort. You'll learn to recognize both exotic and native southern Florida plant and animal species, and get to walk along the lovely ocean front.

The trip is mandatory, so please be sure to sign up no later than Monday, November 29 for one of the following dates/times:

We'll meet in front of the Cox Science Building. Don't be late!

Proper attire:

pants and shirt you don't mind getting wet or a little dirty
closed-toed shoes that you don't mind getting wet or dirty
hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect you from the wicked Florida sun
bottle of water and a daypack with things you'll need for a three-hour trip (medications? snack? You decide. Just keep it legal.)

You must complete and return this
MANDATORY FIELD TRIP WAIVER
before you will be allowed on the bus. You may bring the signed copy with you to the field trip, but it's better to bring it to class beforehand, so there is time for processing.
