Laboratory Finals Schedule - Fall 2009
Your second one-hour lab practical (the lab final) will be held during
finals period, Wednesday, December 9 through Wednesday, December 16, 2009.
Make a note of the time your lab section will meet for Lab Exam II, which
will be given in your regular laboratory room. The two exams for a given
lab section time will be given simultaneously, one in each lab, and will take approximately one hour.
What if I have more than two final exams in one day?
CHECK THE UNIVERSITY'S SCHEDULE OF FINAL EXAMS NOW. Meaning NOW.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SCHEDULE CONFLICTS, OR
IF YOU ARE SCHEDULED FOR THREE EXAMS IN A SINGLE DAY, PLEASE LET YOUR LAB INSTRUCTOR KNOW
IMMEDIATELY--No later than the third week of class.
What if I miss my laboratory final?
Unless you can arrange with your own lab instructor to take the final exam with his/her other lab section, there are NO make up lab finals.
If you miss your lab final and
- have an excused absence and
- have a passing grade at finals time
- notify your lab instructor in writing (email is fine) within 24 hours of missing the exam, then
....you will be given an "I" (Incomplete) for the course and have one academic year to make up the missed exam. (Scheduling the make up with your TA will be YOUR responsibility.)
If you miss your lab final and
- fail to notify your lab instructor in writing (email is fine) within 24 hours of missing the exam
- have a passing grade at finals time
...you will receive the grade you are currently getting, based on your total, with the lab final counting as a ZERO.
If you miss your lab final and
- fail to notify your lab instructor in writing (email is fine) within 24 hours of missing the exam
- DO NOT have a passing grade at finals time
...you will automatically receive an "F" for the course.
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT MISS YOUR LAB FINAL.
