Your second one-hour lab practical (the lab final) will be held during finals period, April 30 - May 7, 2008.

Make a note of the time your lab section will meet for Practical II, which will be given in your regular laboratory room. The two practicals for a given lab section will be given simultaneously, one in each lab, and will take one hour.

What if I have more than two final exams in one day?

LOOK OVER YOUR FINALS SCHEDULE NOW. Meaning NOW. The first week of classes!

IF YOU HAVE ANY SCHEDULE CONFLICTS, OR IF YOU ARE SCHEDULED FOR THREE EXAMS IN A SINGLE DAY, PLEASE LET YOUR TA KNOW IMMEDIATELY--No later than the third week of class.  

What if I miss my laboratory final?

There are NO make up lab finals! If you miss your lab final, have an excused absence, and are passing the course at the time, you will receive an "incomplete" if you provide your instructor with a valid, written (email is fine) excuse within 24 hours of missing the exam.

If you do not provide a valid, written excuse within 24 hours of missing the exam, your grade will be based on your total points, whether or not you take the exam.  Your final practical score will be included as a "zero."

If you miss the final and are not passing the course at the time, you will automatically receive an "F" in BIL 161.
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT MISS YOUR LAB EXAM!
