Background Information:

I have been on the faculty at the University of Miami since 1974.  Over the years I have witnessed many changes.  During my time here I have worked under three presidents, numerous deans and department chairs.  I have served as the director of the health science program for 16 years and the undergraduate director of the biology department for eight years.  Currently I am happy teaching my classes and interacting with the students in them.

I met my wife when we were undergraduates at UM.  She was a nursing major and taught nursing for Maimi-Dade schools until she retired in 2010.  We have been married since 1968.  Fortunately, she enjoys many of the same outside activities I do.  We have one son, Dan.

In my time away from the University I enjoy playing the guitar, cowboy action shooting, buckskinning, riding motorcycles, and playing golf.  I am on the executive committee of the Savage Invitational annual golf tournament.
