Jen's famous cookie recipie

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup butter or oleo, softened
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 package instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs
1 package chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1. Pre-heat oven to 375.

2. Mix flour and baking soda in a bowl. Combine butter, both sugars, vanilla, and pudding mix in a large bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs. Gradually add the flour mixture.

3. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (the batter will be stiff).

4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet

5. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes (or until the edges just start to turn brown, if you want chewy cookies).
