ATRAZINE
| I chose to use the endocrine
disrupting herbicide atrazine because it is the most commonly used and the
most commonly detected chemical in the United States. 76.4 million pounds of atrazine are
applied annually to agricultural acreage and on residential and recreational
turf. It is used widely in the
state of Florida on lawns, golf courses, corn and sugar cane crops, and mango
orchards. |
