Hi, my name is Karina Fernandez. I am 12 years old. I am going to 7 grade. I love getting wet, that is why I like going to the beach and the pool. My favorite subjects are math and science. My name 'Karina' means 'pretty' in french. I go to Kinloch Park Middle School. I am a very clean person. I use to have a dog, but she died from throat cancer. Her name was Nina. When I grow up I want to be an actress. The way I got in this program is that I wrote an essay about why I wanted to come to this program, and they liked my essay. I also made it because of my grades. People always call me Kat because they think I'm the size of a cat.

You could hear the birds singing, And hear the monkeys play, You could hear the mommys bathing,without any preys. Some birds move to the east, Some birds move to the west, Everything was beautiful and O.K,But the hurricane Andrews came along, And killed the everglades. Sadly the animals moved on to a place that would never be the same. But suddenly everglades rises again , And the animals come home again. Without no doubt everythings O.K. Because theres alot of love in the everglades.
