Hi my name is Josie short for Jocelyn, I'm 11 years old, I attend South Miami Middle School I'm in the magnet drama program there. I enjoy ballet dancing and Science as well especially medicine. Though I study drama I want to become a pediatrition. This summer I am involved with a young scholars program. In my opinion the program will give me a good basis for my profession.
EVERGLADES DOES IT HURT
Have I done so little, have I done nothing at all.
The time has come to speak for myself and the animals that dwell on my well being.
My waters have never been so murky.
Now they are of a brownish black color which wounds me by staring at it.
As the waters have been dried out, and replaced by toxins and waste, I and my wild life are coming closer and closer to extinction.
Some horrible will come, and no more of me will be left for generations to come to appreciate me.
Actions have to be made soon to save me from this horrible fate.
