Hi! I am Shana Valliani. I go to Palm Springs Middle School and I am in the 6th grade. My hobbies and interests are drawing, writing, reading books, math, science, and playing the piano. I have been playing the piano for 3 and a half years. I was born in Florida. My mom was born in the Philippines and my dad was born in Pakistan. I also have a 9 year old brother. Let me tell you how I got my name.A long time ago my parents liked the name Shan. In my dad's language it means graceful. It was for a boy's name, but me being a girl and the first born, my parents named me Shana. So that is how I got my name. Then my brother was born and we named him Shan. I do not have any pets, but I used to have one. I used to have a parrot named Peppermint because it was mostly green. After a year and a couple months it flew away. I have always remembered all of those good old memories with my parrot Peppermint. This summer I attended a program in the University of Miami for the NSF young scholars program. So far I am having a wonderful time. I am really impressed with this program. It taught me many interesting things that I never knew. In the future I am going to be a doctor or a dentist. I hope to come and participate in other programs again. Well, that is it. These are some facts about me.
