Hi! My name is Nicia Warens. I'm 12 years old , and I attend Jose Marti Middle School. My last name is German because my great, great, great grandfather was German , and his son went to Cuba and got married, had kids, and died there. My mom's father was Italian, and he also got married in Cuba. My mom and father were born in Cuba. But my family is mostly Cuban, and New Yorkan. Me, my brother and three cousins were born here in Maimi. When I was in sixth grade, I suddenly enjoyed science. I was given a paper to join the program. I thought about it, and decided to come. Now, I'm here, and Alex, a friend of mine since 5th grade, and two more friends, are also here. I'm happy I joined the program.
