My name is Hilda Bernard, and I am twelve years old. I attend school at South Miami Middle. I speak two languages. I got interested in the Young Scholars program by my science teacher, Mr. Moss, telling me about it. Some of my favorite things to do are to sing, play violin, do experiments (but not with animals), read horror books ,and play basketball.My favorite organism is a tiger. I am so happy that I am in the Young Scholars Program. It has been a fun program so far! I have done experiments, such as working with owl pellets, measuring trees' lengths, measuring body length, classify tool, and other things. Writing poem's is something I like to do. The writing teacher Dr. Theil gives us interesting handout. Somehow they all apply to life. Those are some of the reasons that I like the Young Scholar Programs.
