Where do we purchase the clicker\keypad?

The keypad can be purchased at the UM Bookstore in the textbook department for approx. $40 plus tax. Students can also buy clickers directly at the Turning Point store website for $28 plus $4.99 shipping at http://he4g.ttech-store.com.  The clicker is the TurningPoint ResponseCard RF keypad. Product #: RF-RFC-01.

How do we register the keypad?

You can register your keypad on the UM Blackboard by entering your keypad device ID. The device ID number is located on the back on your ResponseCard under the bar code. When you enter the Blackboard select the course that uses the clicker system. You will see a "Register Clicker" button on the left panel. Click the button. It will take you to the registration form. Enter your device ID and hit submit.

(If you do not see the "Register Clicker" button, the course's instructor may not have added it yet to the Blackboard.)

Do we need different clickers for different classes?

No, you will need only one keypad for all of your classes that require clickers, but you will need to reprogram them (see below). The keypad has a lifetime transferable license, so you can use it for all of your classes during your time at University of Miami.

How do we program the keypad?

The keypads in each classroom communicate with a receiver that is set to a specific channel. If you use the keypad in more than one class, you may need to change the channel at the beginning of each class. Here is how you do it.
