I saw 3 juvenile accipters that I thought
immediately
were northern goshawks. I had no doubt because of their size and
habitat (8500 ft pine forest). I was sure that these juveniles were not
Cooper's Hawks. However, once I looked at my bird book and saw the
pictures on the computer, doubt started to enter my mind. These
pictures were shown to 4 serious birders who all said that they were
goshawks. I get my initial instinct was correct. [northern goshawks,

USA, 2007. This osprey was continually calling to two other ospreys:
one flying overhead and another in another tree about 1 km away.
