Hummingbirds & Swifts 1. swallow-tailed hummingbird swallow-tailed hummingbird, Avare, Botucatu, and Itacare, Brazil, 2008. This species is rather common to many parts of Brazil. Due to a certain preconceived notion, I just assumed that any beautiful bird such as this much be rare. Thankfully this one is not.
